European Clubs Ranking

Method

This method uses the same principles as UEFA does to calculate its association coefficients:
Every match played (MP) in every UEFA club competition (Champions League (or Champion Clubs' Cup), Cup Winners' Cup and UEFA Europa League (or UEFA Cup or Inter-Cities Fairs' Cup), but not UEFA Supercup or UEFA Intertoto cup) is taken into account:
Each club receives 2 points for a win (W) and 1 point for a draw (D) (no point is yielded for a lost match (L)).
Moreover, reaching the quarter-finals of any cup (knock-out round or group stage of 8 clubs) yields 1 bonus point, as well as reaching the semi-finals, reaching the final or winning the competition. Note that these bonus points are different from those yielded by UEFA in their own rankings.
The ranking is then set up according to the highest number of points (Pts), then (if needed) to the best goal difference (gd) between goals for (gf) and goals against (ga), and then (if needed) to the best "goals for" amount.

Results

In the following tables, the number of appearances in European Cups (AP) and double participations (d) are also indicated. (*) Results updated after the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League group stage matchday 4 and UEFA Europa League group stage matchday 4.
